The Alliance Eastern PA Presents: The Power of LGBTQ+ Estate Planning w/ Angela Giampolo

Description

Join Angela Giampolo — a nationally recognized LGBTQ+ estate planning attorney, advocate, and creator of the framework behind the 9 essential LGBTQ+ estate planning documents.
In an increasingly uncertain legal and political climate, the question isn't whether protections matter — it's whether you have them in place. Estate planning is one of the most powerful tools available to protect yourself while you're living, not just after death. Done well, it creates an inseverable line of defense around your wishes, your relationships, your assets, and your voice. It establishes who can make decisions for you, who can access your information, who cares for the people and things you love, and how your life is handled if you can't speak for yourself.
For LGBTQ+ people, this work has always been more than financial. It's a form of protection, affirmation, and self-determination — a way to put in writing what must be honored and who must be recognized, rather than leaving those decisions to bias, bureaucracy, or default systems that may not reflect our lives and families. And while these protections are essential for LGBTQ+ people, they matter for everyone.
In this session, Angela will break down the essential documents and strategies that create that line of defense, explain why they matter now more than ever, and offer clear, actionable guidance for taking the next step. Whether you've been meaning to get your affairs in order or already have documents in place, you'll leave with a clearer understanding of how to safeguard your autonomy, reduce stress for your loved ones, and create lasting peace of mind.
A live Q&A will follow the presentation! 🌈
