Dave Gervase has led his real estate practice in South Florida since 1999 and has been with Keller Williams since 2006. Dave has been fortunate to grow his business though the KW models and systems and has enjoyed the opportunity to serve in leadership at the market center level as well. His “Reside Oceanside Luxury Real Estate Team” was the #1 Team in Sales Volume and Units Sold in the Fort Lauderdale Market Center for 2020 and 2025, #2 for 2023 and 2024 and #3 for 2021 and 2022. He is also an investor in a KW Market Center and Title Alliance Professionals of Florida.
When working with clients, Dave’s personal manta is to be a FIERCE ADVOCATE for his clients. Whether selling or buying you need someone in your corner advocating for your interest while working with you toward your goals. Being a FIERCE ADVOCATE has transferred into his volunteer leadership life. “I have a mission to not rest until the Equality Act is passed. It’s not only time, it’s good for business with the combined lobby power of the LGBTQ+ community and the Real Estate Community, there is no excuse for this legislation to not be enacted into law,” said Gervase.
Dave is looking forward to working with NAR and RPAC to work toward a day when RPAC funding of candidates aligns with NAR Code of Ethics and NAR’s recently adopted DEI Strategic Plan. “I also believe that R-PAC (the Realtor Political Action Committee) has an obligation to support candidates who not only support Private Property Rights but are also held to the same ethical standard that Realtors are held to in article 10.5 of the code of ethics. The code of ethics bans discrimination against many classes and included in that is sexual orientation and gender identity.” Gervase is a Major Investor in RPAC and believes in the positive impact that the PAC has achieved. He just believes that they can do better with a more well rounded approach to choosing candidates who not only champion private property rights and fair housing but actually work to end any discrimination which ultimately effects safe home ownership.
As an agent, Dave has served on two core groups launching two KW Market Centers and 17 Associate Leadership Councils. At the market center level as Assistant Team Leader he grew the market center by 80 agents and was responsible for their productivity coaching. Dave is a founding member, 2022 National President and chairman of the board of directors, and 2023 and 2024 National Past President of The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance. He had previously served as the Fort Lauderdale/Broward County chapter leader of a former LGBTQ+ Real Estate Trade Organization and now serves in an advisor capacity with The Alliance Fort Lauderdale Chapter creating networking, educational opportunities and political action initiatives for local agents of all brands. The Alliance is one of 4 diversity segments recognized by the National Association of Realtors. The others are NAR, AREAA and NAHREP all of who Gervase is a proud member of.
“I have a vision of our offices and associations look like the communities that we serve. Fair Housing doesn’t end at home ownership opportunities but actually opening the door to careers in Real Estate and the businesses around Real Estate,” he said.
He has been a member of the KW Rainbow Network’s Leadership Council throughout its growth and is a member of the KW Industry Leaders Panel and is a “Agent of Distinction” at Keller Williams. This diversity designation is given to agents who have gone though extensive DEI Training. Dave has also received the “What Is Culture” Award in his office three times and the South Florida Region’s “Spirit of Culture” award in 2010. Dave currently serves on NAR's Multicultural Real Estate Leadership Advisory Panel, Fair Housing Committee and was named a Newsmaker/Influencer in 2022 by RIS Media. In 2023 Dave was recognized by Real Producer’s Magazine in the Pride edition and OUT DLF Magazine as the housing advocate. Gervase has served both NAR and Florida Realtors as a Director in 2023 and 2024 and has recently been named to the Board of Directors for Broward, Palm Beach and St Lucie Realtors North Broward Regional Board.
In 2021 Dave was named to the board of the LGBT Housing Initiative a 501(c)3 who’s mission is to build LGBTQ homeownership rates while also saving youth from life on the streets. In its short tenure, the Initiative has granted over $250,000 to at risk rainbow youth and has created the Jay Cermak Memorial Scholarship Fund to further assist the youth in the programs funded by The Initiative.
In 2019 Gervase served on the Keller Williams South Florida Region’s Associate Leadership council and the Social Diversity and Equity Taskforce.
Dave has been recognized for his work with Pet Rescue, AIDS Walk Florida, and The Jarvis Foundation. Additionally Dave created the GOT YOUR BACK fund for agents helping agents at the market center level and was responsible KW partnering with Neighbors 4 Neighbors to provide Thanksgiving meals and Happy Holidays to struggling Fort Lauderdale Families.
